Viewing Parameters Toolbar
Along with the various function buttons, the SceneVision toolbar includes a set of adjustable
viewing parameters in a drop down list shown on the right side of the toolbar in Figure 59.
Associated with the list is a number (to its right) to adjust the parameter’s value by typing in a
new number or by using the arrow keys.
Figure 59 SceneVision Viewing Parameters Toolbar
FOV
Specifies the angle of the field-of-view – like changing the lens
on a camera. A bigger number produces a wider field-of-view
and a greater perspective effect.
Rotation Speed
Specifies the speed for both Rotation and Rock.
Rock Angle
Specifies the angle of rocking.
Object Point Size
Specifies the size of the point used when the Model Fill mode
is Points.
Label Offset
Specifies the offset between an annotation’s label and the
annotation. A larger number will make the labels visible more
often.
Light Intensity
Specifies light intensity for models with color per vertex (not
yet supported in SceneVision).
Scene Ambient
Specifies ambient light for models with color per vertex (not
yet supported in SceneVision).
Near Plane Distance
Specifies the location of the near clipping plane. Adjust to
move the plane into or out of the model.
Far Plane Distance
Specifies the location of the far clipping plane. Adjust to move
the plane into or out of the model.
Bookmark Path Time
Specifies the number of seconds to move from one viewpoint
to a bookmark’s viewpoint.
Target Model Tris
Specifies the target number of triangles, in thousands of
triangles, for VRML models created either with
3D Popup from
Region
or with the
Show Fit
step in range alignment. Large
numbers can create models with more detail at the cost of more
storage space and slower processing.
