If you backed up an earlier configuration file as advised in
, you will not have
to totally re-configure the Switch after resetting. You can simply restore your last configuration.
Follow the steps below to reset the Switch back to factory defaults.

Make sure the
SYS
LED is steady green (not blinking). Use a pointed instrument such as a pin to
access the Reset button on the Switch as shown in
.

Press the button for more than five seconds until the
SYS
LED begins to blink and then release it.
Wait for the Switch to restart (the
SYS
LED will be steady green again). This takes up to two
minutes.
Note: If you want to access the Switch web configurator again, you may need to change
the IP address of your computer to be in the same subnet as that of the default
Switch IP address (192.168.1.1).
