TWO-TONE SIGNALING
The format for entering a Two-Tone Selcall capcode is:
TCCABCX: T = Timing (1 to 8, see the Two-Tone Timing table)
CC = Codeplan (1 to 24, see the Two-Tone Codeplan table)
A = Pager Cap-Code (0 to 9, see the Two-Tone Codeplan table)
B = Tone 1 (actual number of first tone sent)
C = Tone 2 (actual number of second tone sent)
X = 0 = Group, 1 = Diagonal on Tone 1, 2 = Diagonal on Tone 2
The timing is determined from the “Two-Tone Timing” table and specifies the timing for particular
type of signaling. The codeplan is from the “Two-Tone Codeplans” table, and determines the
column in which the tone group set is located. The pager capcode is the actual entry row in the
codeplan table to determine the set of tone groups to be used for Tone 1 and Tone 2 of the page.
Tone 1 and Tone 2 are the actual tones in the “Two-tone Tone Groups” table.
Two-Tone Timing
For Two-Tone timing, select a number from Table 13 one through eight. This table should be used
for both 100-call and 1000-call two-tone programming.
