II INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION AND OPERATIONAL WARNING

Review the Installation and Operational Warnings found in the front of the manual, just before
Section 1.

GENERAL

Connections to the transmitter and receiver are grouped on a detachable 15 pin connector on the rear
of the Model 748 for ease of installation. The Model 748 includes installation test modes accessible
with a Touch-Tone phone , when you call in on the phone line, to aid in installation.

REQUIRED TEST EQUIPMENT

1. Radio transceiver with DTMF encode capability
2. Radio transceiver with CTCSS/DCS encode/decode capability
3. Local DTMF (Touch - Tone) Phone
4. CRT or display terminal
5. Service monitor
6. Oscilloscope
7. VOM (Volt/Ohm meter)
