Description of the modules
The S81 ceiling mount comprises a column, the carrier arm and the sus-
pension arm.
The suspension arm with the lamp housing and the control panel is
mounted on the carrier arm. The control panel can be turned through
180°; it contains all electrical supply systems required for the control of a
motorized surgical microscope. You can control the motorized functions
via a foot control panel or hand control panel.
The suspension arm permits almost effortless positioning of the surgical
microscope. The spring force of the suspension arm can be varied in a
range of 8 to 20 kg, permitting reliable balancing of the microscope even
with heavy accessory equipment attached. The range of downward
movement of the suspension arm can be adjusted as required using the
screw for limiting downward travel.
