3.7 KVC Hot Gas Bypass

Setup −20°C (−4°F ) compartment
temperature to −25°C (−13°F ),
keeping only one evaporator
operating, in this way all of other
evaporators are isolated by
solenoid valves.
(e)
Remove KVC cap unscrewing by
hands.
(f)
Regulate maximum suction
pressure between 1barg
(14.5psig) and 1, 2barg (17.5psig)
by turning KVC setting screw; 1
turn clockwise to increase
pressure value of 0.45bar (6.5psi)
or in the opposite direction to
decrease it of same quantity.
CAUTION
!
Adjust the KVC valve
carefully. Avoid anomalous refrigerant
injections on the compressor.
KVC Valve Replacement
(a)
Open unit top and left side covers.
(b)
Recover refrigerant following
(c)
Remove valves from HPG and LP service ports.
