The power supply for DC 24V power section supply and electronic power supply of
head station and modules must be certified and tested SELV or PELV.
–
So on error the maximum output voltage is U
m
= DC 60V.
–
This applies to all power supplies, which are connected to the System 300S.
–
This also applies to sensor signals that are connected to digital or analog inputs
of a DI module. These must also be supplied with SELF/PELV power supplies.
n
When using PELV power supplies, no actuator which is used for safe disconnection
must have a connection from GND to ground, since otherwise a two-pole disconnec-
tion by the safety switch is not possible.
n
The place of installation for the device is a cabinet with degree of protection IP54 or
better.
n
The installation and connection of the cables must be in accordance to EN 60204-1
and comply with the measures of EN ISO 13849-2 table D.4. If multiple power sup-
plies are collected to a multi-conductor cable, which are not switched off together on
the safety switch device, then the following is required:
–
A safe laying e.g. in a cabinet without moving parts and without excessive heating
or e.g. in separate cable ducts with overrun protection
or
–
the use of cross-circuit-proof cables this means individually shielded cables for
the power supplies and the output signals to be switched off.
n
The DC 24V electronic and power section supply must be protected by an appropri-
ately sized fuse against exceeding the respective total current.
