The third option is designed for vehicles where the fan impeller
installed outside the engine (some bus models). In this case the
impeller is driven from a pulley additionally mounted by the consumer
on the torsional vibration damper, and instead of the fan drive, a
tension roller is installed on the engine.
Each belt has an identification number on its outer surface:
5340.1308170-10 – fan and water pump drive belt;
5340.3701170-10 – generator drive belt (on the engines without
AC compressor);
5340.8114170-10 – generator and AC compressor drive belt;
5362.3701170-10 – generator drive belt for the package w/o fan
drive
