WATER PUMP
REMOVAL
1. Remove:
• Timing mark accessing screw
• Crankshaft end accessing screw
2. Align:
• “I” mark
a
on the A.C. magneto rotor
(with the stationary pointer

magneto cover)
NOTE:
Turn the crankshaft clockwise.
3. Remove:
• Water pump assembly

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove:
• Impeller
• Water pump seal

NOTE:
Remove the water pump seal
1
from the inside of
the water pump housing

.
2. Remove:
• Bearing
1
• Oil seal 2
NOTE:
Remove the bearing
1
and oil seal
2
from the
inside of the water pump housing 3 .
3. Remove:
• Rubber damper holder 1
• Rubber damper
2
(from the impeller, with a thin, flat-head
screwdriver)
NOTE:
Do not scratch the impeller shaft.
