Detach the starter cable bracket (A, Figure
then
remove the collar
and spring (C) from the starter rod.
4. Loosen
clamp screw
Figure
on each starter
rod a m . Remove the
(A, Figure 17) and spring (B)
from the end of the rod.
5.
Remove
starter rod and remaining starter rod
6. Disconnect the breather hoses from the carburetors.
7.
Remove the top cover (Figure 18) and gasket
each carburetor.
Unscrew the throttle
arm
connecting screw (Figure
on each carburetor.
9.
Remove the vent hose assembly (Figure
10. Remove the upper mounting bracket (A, Figure 21).
Remove the lower mounting bracket (B, Figure
21).
12. Separate the carburetors by
sliding the car-
buretors off the throttle shaft.
13.
Reverse the disassembly
to reassemble the car-
buretor assembly,
the following:
a. Install the throttle
arm
connecting screw (Figure
19) on each carburetor so the screw fits into the hole
in the
shaft.
b. Install the starter rod
so the retaining screw
end fits into the indentation on the rod.
Carburetor
Center carburetor-perform the following:
a. Remove
throttle stop screw {A, Figure 22) by
rotating it clockwise. Remove the spring

(20) and nut
b. Remove the
switch
Figure 22) and
spring.
Remove the throttle cable bracket
Figure 22).
the throttle
carefully to pre-
vent scratching
damaging
throttle
or
needle.
2. Remove the throttle valve and inner throttle lever as-
sembly (Figure 24).
3.
Unscrew- the starter housing nut (Figure 25) and re-
move the starter assembly.
4. Lightly seat the pilot mixture screw (Figure
counting the number
required for reassembly ref-
erence, then back the screw out and remove from the car-
buretor with the spring, washer and O-ring.
5. Remove the float
retaining screws and remove
the float bowl (Figure 27) and gasket.
6. Remove the main jet (Figure 28) and ring.
