Check the fuse. (main fuse, ig-
nition fuse, cruise control sys-
tem fuse)

Replace the
fuse. (main fuse, ignition fuse,
cruise control system fuse)
Turn the main switch to “ON”.
Push and “SET–” side of the
cruise control setting switch,
and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha
diagnostic tool.
Condition is “Recovered”
→
Go
to item B-9 and finish the ser-
vice.
Condition is “Detected”
→
Go to
item B-6.

Open or short circuit

Replace
the wire harness.
Between battery and main
switch coupler.
red–red
Between main switch coupler
and left handlebar switch cou-
pler.
brown/blue–brown/blue
Between left handlebar switch
coupler and ECU coupler.
green/blue–green/blue
Turn the main switch to “ON”.
Push and “SET–” side of the
cruise control setting switch,
and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha
diagnostic tool.
Condition is “Recovered”

Go
to item B-9 and finish the ser-
vice.

Replace the left handlebar
switch.
Turn the main switch to “ON”.
Push the “RES+” side and
“SET–” side of the cruise con-
trol setting switch, and then
check the condition of the fault
code using the malfunction
mode of the Yamaha diagnostic
tool.

to item B-9 and finish the ser-
vice.

that the engine trouble warning
light goes off.

ing the Yamaha diagnostic tool,
and then delete the fault code.
