1 Defective intake air pressure
sensor. Execute the diagnostic mode.

Replace the intake air pressure
sensor.
Turn the main switch to “ON”,
and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha
diagnostic tool.
Condition is “Recovered”

Go
to item 4 and finish the service.
Condition is “Detected”
→
Go to
item 2.
2 Defective atmospheric pres-

3 Malfunction in ECU. Replace the ECU.
Refer to “REPLACING THE
ECU (engine control unit)” on
page 8-250. Service is finished.
4 Delete the fault code and check
that the engine trouble warning
light goes off. Confirm that the fault code has
a condition of “Recovered” us-
ing the Yamaha diagnostic tool,
and then delete the fault code.
Fault code No. P0069
Item
Intake air pressure sensor or atmospheric pressure sensor: when
the main switch is turned to “ON”, the intake air pressure sensor
voltage and atmospheric pressure sensor voltage differ greatly.
Fault code No. P0107, P0108
Item
[P0107] Intake air pressure sensor: ground short circuit detected.
[P0108] Intake air pressure sensor: open or power short circuit de-
tected.

Tool display Displays the intake air pressure.
Procedure
Operate the throttle while pushing the “ ” side of the start/engine stop
switch. (If the display value changes, the performance is OK.)
