Communicating with a Specific Remote Station
Using the Tone Squelch Function
Being Called by the Remote Station (Standby Operation)
If you use the new pager function on the same frequency as the remote station, the
[PAG] icon displayed on the LCD changes to [PIN], alerting that you have been called by
the remote station. In addition, if you turn on the “bell function” (See page 89), you can
confirm a call from the remote station by the [PAG] display, the blinking [
b
] icon, and
the bell sound. Also, if you turn on the “vibrator function” (See page 88), the vibrator will
confirm a call from the remote station.
Tip
Selecting [4 SIGNALING] [9 PAGER ANS-BACK] [ON] in the Set mode automatically places the
transceiver in the transmission mode (for about 2.5 seconds) when called by the remote party, and
notifies the remote party to get ready for communication.
