1.3 The Plug-in Modules
An RS-1600-FC-SBD or RS-1602-FC-SBD Enclosure requires the following modules for normal
operation:
• 2 x Power Supply/Cooling modules
• 1 x Operator Panel
• 2 x SBD (I/O) modules
• Up to 16 drive carrier modules and/or dummy drive carrier modules, as required.
Note
No drive bays should be left completely empty.
1.3.1 Power Supply/Cooling Module
Two variants of the Power Supply/Cooling module are available for the RS-1600-FC-SBD and RS-1602-
FC-SBD subsystems:
• Auto ranging AC 450W Power Supply/Cooling module
• -48V DC 450W Power Supply/Cooling module
Warning
Do not mix Power Supply/Cooling modules of different types.
