CV16 Calibration
- Get Calibration → Requests the CV16 calibration settings for the selected expander. After
the NerdSEQ successfully received relevant data from the expander, the values are
presented in the fields below. With a multimeter connected to the CV outputs you can
calibrate each output.
With the
CV16 Firmware lower than V1.2
you will receive 2 settings per output. You can
calibrate these using the following instruction:
Select CV 1 __ 0 V. The multimeter should now read 0 Volt. If not, change the values in the
right hand field until it best matches 0 volt.
Now Select CV 1 __ 10V . You should now measure 10 Volt at CV output 1. If not, change
the value in the right hand field until it best matches 10 volt.
Proceed for all outputs if needed. The Calibration settings are automatically saved 10
seconds after the last CV value has been changed/calibrated, so be sure you don’t turn off
your system before having a 10 second pause!
With
CV16 Firmware V1.2 or higher
the 11 point calibration is enabled which allows a
more accurate calibration for each octave.
You will receive 11 calibration points for the Voltages 0 to 10 Volt. For each output to
calibrate you first choose the CV1 __ 0 Volt setting and change the calibration values until
you measure the closest to 0 Volt on your multimeter. Then the same for the 10 Volt setting.
On this position you can choose if the settings from 9 Volt to 1 Volt should be filled in
automatically interpolated between the 0 and 10 volt setting (use SHIFT+OK then).
Now you fine-tune each octave changing the values down to 1 Volt.
Repeat for all outputs. Also here the settings are saved into the CV16 automatically after 10
seconds of pause/idle.
