Protocol Overview
RFC1483 describes two different methods for carrying connectionless network inter-
connect traffic over an ATM network: routed protocol data units (PDUs) and bridged
PDUs.
Bridged Ethernet over ATM (RFC 1483B) performs higher

layer protocol multiplexing
implicitly by ATM virtual circuits. For more information, refer to RFC1483.
The base protocol is defined in RFC 1483B.
