Caution:
It is very important to be aware of the upper network protocol stack used by
DSLAM. Only the right configurations of the protocol and other relative
parameters can guarantee the successful login onto Internet.
The authentication of this tester has been setted to "AUTO", which can find
the authentication of DSLAM and match it automatically, including PAP, CHAP,
MSCHAP. Users do not need to set it before testing.
As the different protocol is selected, the corresponding settings will be
displayed in Page 1 and Page 2 of
“

Protocol Overview
PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) provides the ability to connect a network of hosts over a
simple bridging access device to a remote Access Concentrator. With this model, each
host utilizes its own PPP stack and the user is presented with a familiar user interface.
Access control, billing and type of service can be done on a per-user, rather than a
per-site, basis.
The base protocol is defined in RFC 2516.
