And simulating ADSL modem in PPPoE mode is hereby discussed for example.

Step 1: Connect the tester to ADSL line and link to ATU-C.

Step 2: Select the function of
“
MODEM SIMULATOR
”
and Protocol is set to
PPPoE
. Input the LAN IP address and subnet mask (For example tester IP is
192.168.1. 254, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0), then input VPI/VCI values
(0/35), correct username and password.

Step3: Connect the tester to computer with LAN test cable (intercross). For
example, computer
’
s IP is 192.168.1.1 and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, set
the gateway address of computer same as the tester

s LAN IP address
192.168.1.254. So the computer can connect to Internet through the tester.
