The system has one contact (referred to as a “Dry Contact”) that can be used to trigger
ancillary devices for various applications. (E.g. Loud Bell Control—the ringing of an auxil-
iary bell for system ringing conditions.) The contact can be programmed to operate in
association with the following system functions:
•
Loud Bell Control
•
External Music Source Switch
•
External Page Interface Control

Notes:
The contact is rated at 0.5A & 24V DC. When set for LBC operation, the CO Lines that are
to activate the contact when ringing must also be programmed for “Loud Bell Y”. A Loud
Bell requires an external power source. When set for External Music Source Switch, the
contact will “Make” (close) whenever a CO Line is placed on hold to control external mes-
saging-on-hold devices. When set for External Page Interface Control, the contact will
“Make” (close) whenever a system user accesses the External Paging port. This allows the
ancillary amplifier to be switched on and off.
