Dial Tone Detection

This parameter, when set to “Y” (Yes) is used to detect central office dial tone before trans-
mitting the DTMF digits. When set to “N” (No) the digits are transmitted directly to the
Central office when they are dialed.

This Parameter is used with older central office equipment. It will delay the DTMF digits
from being dialed directly to the central office when dialed. The digits are not sent to the
central office until this timer expires. A Setting of “0” disables this feature.

Music Source
MBC - 4-21
The System is equipped with an internal tone source as well as an external music connec-
tor. This setting selects what is heard when intercom or Line callers are placed on hold.
Additionally, digital speakerphones can dial Feature 52 and listen to the programmed music
source as background music.
