Density Options
The Density Options configuration allows you to
determine the following settings:
•
Status
– Select the status used for density functions.
•
Precision
– Determine whether you want to use high or
normal precision when displaying density values.
•
Gray Set
- Allows you to expand the region that the
instrument considers to be neutral in shade.
To open the Density Options menu:

Status
Status is dependent upon the filters applied to the density data
obtained from a measurement. Below lists the status
selections.
NOTES
: Status “T” is set as the default when “US” is selected as the
User Configuration option. Status “E” is set as the default when
“Euro” is selected as the User Configuration option. Refer to the end
of this section for additional details.

Status T

ANSI Status T Computerized Color
Response is a wideband response most typically used
in the North American graphic arts industry. This
status is used to calibrate the instrument to the
T-Ref™ color reference.
•
Status G
⎯
X-Rite Graphic Arts Response is a
wideband response that is similar to Status T, except
that it is more sensitive to denser yellow inks.
