LCD and the Local Display Menu (LCD Menu)
The ICoT has a local graphic display with the same characteristics in all models available.
Menus and messages are shown in the bottom side of the LCD:

Enter the local display menu by pressing the “CAL” button.
ACAL
(Auto Cal Menu) is the first of five
menus. By pressing the “CAL” button again takes the user to a lower level menu or starts a routine.
Pressing the “Down” button can cycle through the menus. The remaining three menus are
MCAL
(Manual Cal Menu),
Cofg
(Configuration Menu),
Stro
(Manual Position Override Menu) and
Node Add
(FF Node Address configuration). Pushing the “Up” button exits the menu or takes the user to an upper
level menu.

Many of the configuration options available on the local display menu are also available over the FF
network by changing parameters in the Transducer block. The equivalent Transducer block parameters
and commands of
ACAL
,
MCAL
,
Cofg
and
Stro
available in the local display menu are shown in the
following sections.
ATTENTION:
Before executing any calibration and configuration in the ICoT, the user must
be sure that the positioner-actuator-valve system is receiving an appropriate pressure in its
input. To check that, the input pressure gauge should measure the expected pressure value
and the ICoT local display should not show the diagnostic message “Low pressure”.
See Section 11.7 (Diagnostic Messages) for more information about meaning and solutions
applicable in this case.
ATTENTION:
In normal operation,
it is not recommended
to change the Node Address
(
Node Add
) using the local display. Changing the node address will most probably
uncommission and reset the device, disrupting the normal operation of the positioner.
For most of the FF host system configurators, the device’s tag (PD Tag) is more important
than the node address. The preferred way to change the node address is via the host
system. However, some host system cannot work with some addresses in particular
ranges, like temporary addresses or non-scanned ranges. This option in the local menu is to
provide a way out of such situations.
