Rammer

Disassembly and Reassembly

Continued from the previous page.

5. Tip the rammer so that it is perpendicular with the ground to check oil level.

6. Oil is at the correct level when the oil fills 1/2 to 3/4 of the sight glass 

(a)

. 

7. Once the correct oil level is achieved, tip the rammer forward and secure the 

rammer. 

8. Remove the sight glass, clean the threads, and wrap the threads with Teflon® 

tape. 

9. Re-install the sight glass and torque to 9 Nm (6ft.lbs.).

Result

The ramming system oil has now been refilled.
