Requirements for Internet connection
To establish an Internet connection, the system must meet these
requirements:
■
an Internet access method must be established
■
Internet browser software must be installed
You can use either of these methods to access the Internet:
■
an account with an Internet Service Provider (ISP). (An ISP provides
dial-up Internet access via a modem for a monthly
or an hourly fee.)
■
connection to a Local Area Network (LAN) with TCP/IP connection
to the Internet
If you use an Internet Service Provider, the HS 2000 system must
include a modem.
If your system is on a LAN that connects to the Internet, the HS 2000
system must include a LAN board.
In order to play and to hear audio clips, your system must also include a
sound board or a multimedia board.
HS 2000 systems

include 14.4 Kbps
modems as standard
equipment.
