5.1.8 Option 12 uPVC Inlet, No Filters
This pre-treatment option consists of a PVC Inlet system without Softeners which can be used where
a pre-softened feed is available.
It does, however, have 5micron Depth Filters to remove particulate matter.
5.1.9 Option 13 Stainless Steel Inlet, With Filters
This pre-treatment option consists of a Stainless Steel Inlet system without Softeners which can be
used where a pre-softened feed is available.
It does, however, have 5micron Depth Filters to remove particulate matter.
5.1.10 Option 14 Stainless Steel Inlet, No Filters
Is a Stainless Steel Inlet system without Softeners or Filters.
5.2 DOSING SYSTEMS
5.2.1 Option 20 Sodium Metabisulphite Dosing
This option consists of a Dosing set (PU20-01 & TK20-01) for dosing Sodium Metabisulphite to
remove Chlorine from the feed water. As the pump is controlled Proportional to Flow it can only be
used with option 10 or 11.
5.2.2 Option 21 pH Control
This option consists of a Dosing set (PU21-01 & TK21-01) for dosing Sodium Hydroxide to raise the
pH of the feed water. This reduces the amount of Carbon Dioxide and thereby ionic load in the feed
to downstream deionisation equipment.
5.3 INLET MONITORS
5.3.1 Option 25 Hardness Monitor
Feed water hardness monitor (AE25-01) alarms when hardness is detected in the feed water to
TK30-01. The alarm becomes fatal after an adjustable timer elapses.
5.3.2 Option 26 Chlorine Monitor
Feed water chlorine monitor (AE26-01) alarms when hardness is detected in the feed water to TK30-
01. The alarm becomes fatal after an adjustable timer elapses.
5.3.3 Option 27 pH Controller
The pH Controller (AE26-01) measures the pH of the feed water and supplies a control signal to the
Sodium Hydroxide dosing set (Option 21). This reduces the amount of Carbon Dioxide and thereby
ionic load in the feed to downstream deionisation equipment.
