document that this setup procedure was performed and include the
date.
Comprehensive Head Maintenance
Perform Comprehensive Head Maintenance if the head is removed for repair
or adjustment. Also perform this procedure as prescribed in the maintenance
concept for this assembly. Ensure that the camera mirrors are cleaned after
all other maintenance is performed.
A Calibration Placement Enhancement (CPE) Kit for FlexJet is required
to ensure specified accuracy after performing this procedure.
For a GSM2™ platform, it is recommended to perform the entire
procedure on one FlexJet Head before removing the second head.
Use Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) precautionary measures when
working on the FlexJet Head.
Prerequisites
Ensure that the following items are available before beginning the procedure.
• From the FlexJet Tool Kit: The Z Belt Tension Tool, the 2 OZ.
Weight, the Impact Sensor Setup Tool, ESD Swabs (the swabs must
be lint-free), and the FlexJet Setup Fixture.
• Calibration Kit for FlexJet (for Mirror and Spindle Height
Calibrations)
• CPE Kit for FlexJet
• Calibration, CPE and Measurement manual and the Z-Axis Index
Housing Assembly document
• Isopropyl Alcohol or a solution approved for use on sensitive optical
surfaces; lens tissue (lint free)
• Torque wrench
• A grounded ESD wrist strap
