MANIFOLD VALVE BLOCK
The manifold valve block contains a relief valve and
the PF1, PF2, S1 and S2 solenoid valve bodies that
control hydraulic flow to the conveyor belt motor and the
spinner assembly motors.
NOTE: O-ring kits are available for the manifold block
components. Refer to the parts list section of this
manual.
Relief Valve:
Located in port “RV” in the block. The relief
valve is installed to prevent hydraulic pressure from
becoming too high in the system. The relief valve is a
non–adjustable type valve that routes excess pressure
back through the filter to be returned to the reservoir.
The relief valve does not have any user serviceable parts.
If the valve is malfunctioning, it will need replacement.
S1 Solenoid Valve Body (Spinners):
S1 is located
in port “S1” in the block. S1 is an electrically operated
valve controlled by the switch on the electronic control
box.
The valve is a “normally open” type valve allowing the
hydraulic flow to bypass and return to tank when not
activated. When the electronic control box is in the ON
position for the spinner (and also spinner and conveyor),
the solenoid is activated. Electrical activation closes
the valves and directs the hydraulic flow to the spinner
speed PF1 control valve.
Refer to the “Electrical Systems” maintenance section in
this manual for information about servicing the solenoid
and the electrical connections to S1.
The solenoid is a replaceable service part. The valve
body does not have any user serviceable parts. If the
valve is malfunctioning, it will need replacement.
An O-
ring kit is available for the valve.
S2 Solenoid Valve Body (Conveyor Belt):
S2 is
located in port “S2” in the block. S2 is an electrically
operated valve controlled by the switch on the electronic
control box.
The valve is a “normally open” type valve allowing the
hydraulic flow to bypass to return to tank when not
activated. When the electronic control box is in the
ON position for the conveyor, the solenoid is activated.
Electrical activation closes the valves and directs the
hydraulic flow to the conveyor motor PF2 speed control
valve.
Refer to the “Electrical Systems” maintenance section in
this manual for information about servicing the solenoid
and the electrical connections to S2.
The solenoid is a replaceable service part. The valve
body does not have any user serviceable parts. If the
valve is malfunctioning, it will need replacement.
An O-
ring kit is available for the valve.
PF1 Spinner Speed Control Valve Body:
PF1 is
located in port “PF1” in the block. PF1 is an electrically
operated valve controlled by the Spinner Speed switch
and the Preset Buttons on the electronic control box.
When activated, the electronic control box will show 0%
through 100% in the spinner side of the display.
The valve controls the speed of the spinners by
regulating the amount of hydraulic flow and pressure
to the motors. The hydraulic flow enters the valve from
port “P” in the valve block. PF1 will not have enough
flow to operate if solenoid S1 is not activated or is
inoperative.
The controlled flow going out of the PF1 speed control
exits the block at port “S1” and goes to the spinner
assembly to power the spinner wheel hydraulic motors.
Refer to the “Electrical Systems” maintenance section in
this manual for information about servicing the electrical
connections to PF1.
The solenoid is a replaceable service part. The valve
body does not have any user serviceable parts. If the
valve is malfunctioning, it will need replacement.
An O-
ring kit is available for the valve.
PF2 Conveyor Belt Speed Control Valve Body:
PF2
is located in port “PF2” in the block. PF2 is an electrically
operated valve controlled by the Conveyor Belt Speed
switch and the Preset Buttons on the electronic control
box. When activated, the electronic control box will show
0% through 100% in the conveyor side of the display.
The valve controls the speed of the conveyor belt by
regulating the amount of hydraulic flow and pressure
to the conveyor motor. The hydraulic flow entering from
port “P” and is routed through PF1 before going to PF2.
