Business Services Meter
The third step in setting up the BERT testing from the 720 DSP involves adding the appropriate
loopback targets to each test point. Multiple loopback targets can be added to a single test
point in order to perform BERT loopback tests to different locations within the network.
Perform the following steps to add a loopback target to a test point:
Adding Loopback Targets to a Test Point
1. From the Test Point screen,
select Add from the Target
softkey as shown in the image to
the right.
2. In this example, we are using the
CPE test point that was created
earlier.
3. The Target selection window will
be displayed as shown in the image
to the right. Use the up/down arrow
buttons on the physical keypad to
highlight the desired target and then
press the Enter button.
4. In this example, our target will be the
TLB-GbE.
5. The Test Point screen will now
display the name of the selected
loopback target. Continue to add
all of the loopback devices that are
required for the selected test point.
