Business Services Meter

Creating a New Test Point

Follow the steps shown in the following sections to perform the initial setup of the 720 DSP for

BERT testing via a loopback device.

The first step in setting up the BERT testing from the 720 DSP involves creating a test point.

The test point is the location in the network from where you will be performing the BERT test.

The name of the test point should correspond to this location in the network. Multiple test

points can be created to test from many different types of locations within the network.
Perform the following steps to create a new test point:

1. From the

Gige Testing

screen,

select

New

from the

Test Point

softkey as shown in the image to

the right.
