After Installation (Windows 2000)

Insert the Windows 2000 Driver floppy disk, which comes with your RAID controller,
into the floppy disk drive, and then press Enter.

When the following message appears, select MegaRAID Express500 RAID
Controller Driver or MegaRAID Elite1600 RAID Controller Driver.
After this, continue to install Windows 2000, following the instructions that appears on the
screen.
After Installation (Windows 2000)
When you have finished Windows 2000 installation, follow the steps below:

Activate the Windows 2000 Server and log in with the user ID of the Administrator or
a person having equivalent rights.

If no network has been built up, set up the network.

If no TCP/IP has been set for the network, set it. See the Windows 2000 Server
User's Guide for details of TCP/IP setting.

If SNMP Service is not installed, install the SNMP Service in the network. Use
Services, which can be opened by selecting click Start, Settings, Control Panel,
Network, Services for the Windows 2000 Server. See the Windows 2000 Server
User's Guide for details of installation.

Install the Service and Software (Power Console Plus) of the SCSI RAID Controller
(when the SCSI RAID Controller is additionally connected) or MegaRAID
Configuration Console (when IDE RAID is used). See the MegaRAID Software
Guide.

Install the Backplane Driver (when IDE RAID is used). Use the SST CD-ROM for
installation.
When Windows 2000 is installed using SST, the IDE Hotswap Backplane Driver can
be installed automatically.
To install the IDE Hotswap Backplane Driver manually, follow the procedure below:
MegaRAID Express500 RAID Controller Driver
MegaRAID Elite1600 RAID Controller Driver
NOTE: If the RAID controller is connected to the server, be sure to install the Power
Console for the RAID Controller Utility after installing the Windows 2000 Server.
