Network Setting

Specify the network setting for Ether 1.

Select the network settings for Ether 1:

❖

Simplified Setting. Allows you to set up a protocol and domain or workgroup 
automatically. The LAN driver is automatically installed, and existing service 
settings are set up.

❖

Detailed Setting. SST stops the installation automatically where the Windows NT 
4.0 setup program accepts the user input. After the user’s input ends, the process 
continues.

Click Next. If you selected Simplified Setting, the Network Protocol Setting screen 
displays.

NOTE: Ether 1 is recognized as Network adapter[2] and Ether 2 is recognized as 
Network adapter[1].

NOTE: When you select Simplified Setting, only the settings for Ether 1 are 
available. To set up Ether 2, select Detailed Setting, or set up Ether 2 manually after 
Windows NT 4.0 installation is complete.

NOTE: When you select Detailed Setting, you must manually install the LAN driver 
from the SST CD-ROM. To do so, when the "Have Disk" message displays on the 
Windows NT setup screen, enter the following path: 
<cdrom>\PUBLIC\LAN\INTEL\PRO100\NT and click OK.
