Remove the seven screws securing the top panel and remove it. See

Removing and

replacing the server panels

on page 39 for more information.

Removing the top cover

Remove the blanking panel when installing a full-size device, such as an auto-
loading tape device.

Set the SCSI ID on the replacement SCSI device, making sure it does not conflict
with other devices.

Insert the SCSI device.

Inserting the SCSI device

NOTE: When replacing the SCSI device with a tape device, the tape device is
smaller than the SCSI device. The blanking panel is used to fill the space.
