Opening the Door after Canceling Steri-Run
The door cannot be opened immediately after the Steri-Run sterilization routine has been aborted by
the user or due to an error.
To release the outer door lock before the temperature has dropped to a non-hazardous level of 65°C,
you must use the emergency release lever (item 2 in
Figure 8-9 ):
• Locate the emergency release lever (2) at the bottom of the incubator. It is located on the left side
of the device, approx. 5 centimeters inwards from the main power switch (4), as shown in
Figure 8-9 below).

• Reach under the bottom panel and remove the round cover (3/Fig. 8-9).
• Insert a finger through the hole and pull the emergency release lever above it towards the power
switch.
• The door lock disengages and releases the outer door for opening
• Replace the round cover (3/Fig. 8-9).
CAUTION Hot surfaces!

The handle and the glass door, the interior panel of the outer door as well as the surfaces of the shelf
system and of the workspace become extremely hot during the Steri-Run sterilization routine.

During the routine run or immediately after completion of the run, always wear safety gloves when
touching these surfaces!
