Starting Operation
1. Open glass door or gas-tight screen.
2. Remove prefilter (2/ Figure 5-1 ).
3. Bottom shelf with cut-out for refilling ( Heracell Vios 160i CR ): Open flap (3/ Figure 5-1 ).

Single-piece shelf ( Heracell Vios 250i CR ): Remove bottom shelf if there is not enough to allow for
filling.
4. Fill reservoir with sterile distilled water (beneath water reservoir cover 1 in Figure 5-1 ) of the
workspace.

Note Hygiene regulations:

Prior to any operation, the user must clean and disinfect the workspace in accordance with the
hygiene regulations set forth by the operator to protect the cultures.
Water supply: see “Relative Humidity” on page 3-5 .
When the water fill level drops below the minimum value, the water must be refilled.
