Note Regarding CO3 Cartridges
If
CO3
is the selected EGC type, gradient operation is not available and
the EGC gradient time screen displays
ISOCRATIC ONLY
(see Figure 32).
Setting Up a Gradient
1. Set the starting concentration for the gradient by selecting the value in
the EGC concentration screen. In the example in Figure 33, the
starting concentration is 30.00 mM.
2. To set the gradient time, press

to display the EGC gradient time
screen (see Figure 34).
NOTE When the gradient time is 0 minutes, the Dionex
RFC-30 is in isocratic mode. A gradient time
greater than 0 selects gradient mode.
