2-3-3. Socket Server Configuration
Configuration
This configuration example will configure the PFR-100 socket
server.
The following configuration settings will manually assign the
PFR-100 an IP address and enable the socket server. The
socket server port number is fixed at 2268.
4. Connect an Ethernet cable from the network to
the rear panel Ethernet port.

5. Press the Function key to enter the Normal
configuration settings.

Turn LAN (Socket) on

Disable DHCP

Background
To test the socket server functionality, National Instruments
Measurement and Automation Explorer can be used. This
program is available on the NI website, www.ni.com., via a
search for the VISA Run-
time Engine page, or “downloads” at
the following URL, http://www.ni.com/visa/
