7. OPERATION
The description of the operation in this manual for the AA-600 model is generally applied to the basic module, but
some services will only be available for modules equipped with specific parts (for example the camera, the number
of buttons, the expansion modules...).
When in stand-by the button is pressed, the AA-600 automatically generates a phone call via the VoIP PBX. The
visitor starts to listen to the result of his access request from the AA-600 loudspeaker, or he will listen to the call
control tone and the subsequent answer from the called operator.
Optionally, before the call is forwarded, it is possible to set the broadcast of a message that can be combined with
each key and each mode of operation, for example "The company is closed, wait for the custodian to answer ...".
The operator who has spoken to the visitor can decide to activate the electric lock by directly entering the correct
sequence of DTMF digits appropriately programmed (door opening codes), and hang up at the end of the
operation. When the operator hangs up, AA-600 will return to the rest state recognizing the PBX reorder and will be
ready for a new access request.
It is also possible for the operator, or for other extensions that can reach the AA-600 phone number, to connect on
their own with AA-600, to speak with people close to the entrance and possibly activate the electric lock without
waiting for a their call. It is also possible to protect this function with a connection / listening password.
When equipped with a camera, it is possible to see the framed area. The video of the camera is transported on an
IP Stream directly on the company LAN using the same LAN connection cable of AA-600. It is possible to see the
area framed on an IP phone with video functionality or directly on a PC via a normal browser or through the
"Videoconsole" supplied software.
7.1. Pushbuttons and numeric keypad expansion
By adding a telephone keypad to the module (only prepared versions), it is possible to obtain other services such
as direct dialing of the extension to contact or other services that assume the presence of a keyboard.
It is possible to allow, for example, access to company employees by making them aware of a code (the function
can be activated or excluded) so that they access without the need for operator intervention, simply by typing this
code on the keyboard preceded by the asterisk key (*).
The asterisk must be composed to indicate to the system that an access code is being entered rather than a
number to be selected. It is possible to define codes that work only in day mode, others that work only in night
mode or during the interval.
AA-600 can be used as an external VoIP Doorphone unit that can be connected to any IP-PBX, as a SIP extension
on a LAN network, with the possibility of powering both via an external power supply, or via PoE power supply on
the LAN network. AA-600 can alternatively be used in a Peer-to-Peer connection.
AA-600 is installed on the threshold of the gate to be controlled and when an external visitor presses the key, it
makes a VoIP telephone call to the number of the internal operator in charge of managing the inputs, allowing
audio communication between the interlocutors. The operator can command the opening of the electric lock of the
gate or pedestrian passage directly from his phone with a DTMF code.
Moreover, thanks to the integrable color camera, it is possible to see the visitor directly on the internal operator's IP
video phone or on the screen of his PC with a normal internet browser open, thus ensuring the maximum
operability/security of the monitored area. Tema also offers advanced systems management software.
The device can be housed in a prepared box, mounted directly on the wall or, using an optional accessory,
mounted on DIN rail.
