PRISM MPS Installation and Safety Instructions
Installation
This section describes how to remove the PRISM MPS SDI / IP Waveform Monitor from
the shipping box and clean it. Basic operating methods are also listed.
Initial Product Inspection
Inspect the product when you receive your instrument:
1.
Inspect the shipping carton for external damage, which may indicate damage to
the instrument.
2.
Remove the PRISM from the shipping carton and check the instrument has not
been damaged in transit. Prior to shipment the instrument is thoroughly inspected
for mechanical defects. The exterior should not have any scratches or impact
marks.
Note:
Save the shipping carton and packaging materials for instrument repackaging
in case shipment becomes necessary.
3.
Verify the shipping carton contains the instrument, the standard accessories, and
product documentation.
4.
Verify that all the product options you ordered are installed:
a.
After you install and power-on the instrument, select the
Settings
icon.
b.
Select the
Utilities
bar.
c.
Select the
Options
bar.
The display lists all the installed product options (for example, MPSDP-IP-MEAS)
and the license expiration dates. If an expiration reads “None” then the license
will not expire.
