WFM 601i Serial Component Monitor
The FORMAT screen presents the results of seven signal format checks. A given
check reports back either “OK” or “ERROR”. The checks are continuously made
and the results are not “sticky”: once an error condition clears, the indicator
returns to “OK”.

DATA RANGE
Indicates an error if the reserved values of 000h–003h or
3FCh–3FFh are used incorrectly.
SAV PLACEMENT
Indicates an error if SAV is improperly placed with respect to
the preceding EAV.
LINE LENGTH
Indicates an error if there are an incorrect number of samples from
one EAV to the next.
FIELD LENGTH
Indicates an error if there are an incorrect number of lines in a
field.
ANC PARITY
Indicates an error if a parity error has occurred in ancillary data.
ANC CHECKSUM
Indicates an error if an ancillary data checksum error has
occurred
ANC PLACEMENT
Indicates an error if ancillary data is improperly placed with
respect to active video.
