Row markers
Adjust the marker disc with
154 cm
until the center of the first row unit.
2)
Practical adjustment:
Using the row markers is very important to get a plantation with uniform spacing. This
is something that will facilitate the cultural treatments and the crop later on.
To adjust the marker discs just loose the two bolts (A) which fasten the squared axle and
displace all the set until the desired distance.
There is two ways to obtain this distance:
1)
Using the calculation below:
X = A x (B + 1) - C
2
Being:
X
= ? (Distance to be calculated, measured from the marker discs to the center of the
first row unit).
A
= Culture spacing (i.e.:
90 cm
).
B
= Number of row units in the equipment. (i.e.: 4).
C
= Tractor gauge. (i.e.:
142 cm
).
Example:
90 x (4 + 1) - 142
90 x 5 - 142
450 - 142

NOTE
- For this practical adjustment, it is necessary to maintain the front and rear gauges
equally. In other words, the center-to-center measurement of the front tires should
have the same measure as the rear ones.
- Follow the instructions that comes with the image on the next page.
Move the equipment some meters.
Measure the distance between the center of the tractor trace and the center of the first
seed row.
Add the found measure with the spacing between row units measure that you are using.
The result is the distance that must exist between the row marker disc and the center
of the first seed row.
Example:
Center of the tractor trace until the center of the first seed row = 90 cm.
Spacing between culture row = 45 cm.
So 90 + 45 = 135 cm.
Distance between the center of the first seed row and the marker disc lowered to the soil.
