8. Longitudinal transportation
When transporting the equipment using the tractor three-point hitch, follow the steps below:
1. Do not transport the equipment if it is loaded;
2. Observe the equipment width related to the narrower spots on the route, especially
gates and roads with ditches;
3. The tractor must always be with headlights turned on so it can be easily identified by
other drivers;
4. Do not carry out the transportation over long distances using a tractor;
5. Do not carry out the transportation during the night;
6. Use the safety devices on the hydraulic cylinders;
7. A speed of 20
km/h
is
recommended for a safer transportation. Avoid to surpass this
speed limit to prevent damages to the equipment.
8. Keep the tires always properly inflated as indicated on the 'tires inflation' page.
Longitudinal transportation methods
- Lift the longitudinal transportation wheels to lock them during the job.
- Always carry out the hitching/unhitching on flat and firm places.
IMPORTANT
- Do not activate the cylinders if the locks are placed, otherwise serious damages to
the equipment may occur.
ATTENTION
- To go back to working position, carry out the instructions above on reverse order.
