WINDSHIELD WIPER CONTROLS
The wiper control stalk is located on the left side of the combination switch. The
front windshield wipers and washer are operated from the wiper control stalk.
Windshield Wiper ON/OFF Control
The wiper ON/OFF control has several modes of operation to compensate for
the amount of rain or snow contacting the windshield. The following paragraphs
describe the modes of operation for the windshield wipers:
OFF - Windshield wipers stop and return to the normal parked position.
The “OFF” position is between the slow and intermittent settings.
SLOW - Windshield wipers operate constantly at slow speed. The slow
wiper speed setting is one detent up from the “OFF” position.
FAST - Windshield wipers operate constantly at fast speed. The fast
speed setting is two detents up from the “OFF” position.
INTERMITTENT
- Windshield wipers operate intermittently at the time
delay selected by the rotary control, 1, on the wiper control stalk. The
intermittent setting is one detent below the “OFF” position.
Intermittent wiper operation can also be activated manually by pulling
the windshield wiper control stalk back towards the steering wheel. The
control stalk will return to the neutral position when released.
NOTE
Replace the windshield wiper blades at regular intervals or as needed
to ensure proper visibility while driving through wet conditions.
