ExTENDED STORAGE

The following list provides tips for storing the vehicle for an extended period 

of time:

Wash and wax the vehicle.  Polish any chrome surfaces.

Park the car on a level surface and place the transaxle in first or reverse 

gear.  Do not engage the parking brake.
Lower a window(s) slightly.
Coat the windshield wiper blades with talcum powder and lift the wiper 

arms off the glass.
Check  the  battery  charge  every  six  (6)  weeks  or  connect  a  battery 

maintainer.  Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable while the vehicle is 

in extended storage.
Do not drain the engine coolant.

Inflate the tyre pressure 0.5 bar (7 PSI) above the recommended inflation 

pressure of 1.9 bar (27 PSI).
If possible, park the car in a covered area, such as a garage or other well 

ventilated area.  If a garage is not available, cover the vehicle with a cloth 

vehicle cover or a perforated plastic cover that allows moisture to escape 

from under the cover.
