WARRANTY & SERVICE INFORMATION – Warranty Terms & Conditions
WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Tata Motors Limited warrants each Tata Indigo vehicle free from any
kind of material defect or workmanship for a period of 18 months,
unlimited distance. Warranty coverage begins on the date of purchase
and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
The vehicle warranty is for a period of 18 months from the
purchase date of the vehicle. Vehicle distance is unlimited
unless the owner uses the vehicle for commercial business
and is issued a yellow number plate (or white number plate
issued to transport for hire or reward). If the owner will use the
vehicle for commercial business, the warranty will be limited
to 18 months or 50,000 km , whichever comes first.
Tata Motors Limited’s obligation under this warranty is limited
to repairing or replacing, free of charge, such parts of the car
which, in Tata Motors Limited’s opinion, are defective, on a
vehicle brought to Tata Motors Limited or to our dealers within
the warranty period. The repaired or replaced parts will also be
warranted for quality and workmanship but such warranty shall
be coterminous with the vehicle original warranty.
Any part found to be defective and replaced by Tata Motors
Limited under this warranty becomes property of Tata Motors
Limited.
This warranty does not apply to components such as tyres,
battery, electrical equipment, fuel injection equipment, etc.
not manufactured by Tata Motors Limited. The purchaser is
entitled to any manufacturer warranties so far as permissible
by law and all such rights as Tata Motors Limited may have
against such parties under their warranties in respect to these
components.

This warranty will not apply if the vehicle or any part thereof
repaired or altered otherwise than in accordance with Tata
Motors Limited’s standard repair procedure or by any person
other than our sales or service establishments, our authorised
dealers, service centres, or service points in any way so as, in
our judgement which shall be final and binding, to affect the
vehicle’s reliability, nor shall this warranty apply if, in Tata
Motors Limited’s opinion, which is final and binding, the vehicle
owner has subjected the vehicle to misuse, negligence, improper
or inadequate maintenance, accident, or loading in excess of the
vehicle carrying capacity as certified by Tata Motors Limited.
This includes services prescribed in the vehicle Owner’s Manual
and Service Book not carried out by the buyer through Tata
Motors Limited’s sales or service establishments, authorised
dealers, service centres or service points.
This warranty will not apply to normal wear and tear or any
inherent normal deterioration of the vehicle or any of the
vehicle components arising from the actual use of the car or
any damage due to negligent or improper operation and/or
storage of the car. This warranty does not apply to normal
maintenance services such as oil & fluid changes, head lamp
focussing, fastener retightening, wheel balancing, tyre rotation,
adjustment of valve clearance, fuel timing, ignition timing and
consumables such as bulbs, fuel and oil filters, v-belts, cooling
hoses, brake pads, etc. This warranty will not apply to any
damage or deterioration caused by environmental pollution or
bird droppings. This warranty shall not apply to refrigerant leaks
in case of air conditioned cars. This warranty shall not apply to
slight irregularities not recognised as affecting the function or
