HEAD LAMPS
This vehicle comes equipped with separate single-filament halogen bulbs for
high and low beams. H7 type bulbs, 1, are used for the low beam and H1 type-
bulbs, 2, are used for the high beam.
For proper illumination, have the head lamp aim checked and aligned as needed
by an authorised service outlet periodically. Authorised service outlets have the
necessary tools to perform head lamp alignment.
Replacement
CAUTION
Do not touch the replacement head lamp glass as this contaminates
the glass and will cause the lamp to burn out or break.
Head lamp bulbs reach very high temperatures. Use care when
replacing the head lamps.
Do not touch the mirror finish of the head lamp reflector. This will
damage the finish.

Use the following procedure to replace a head lamp:
Switch all lighting “OFF”. Engage the parking brake, raise the bonnet,
and allow time for the lighting to cool if hot.
Disconnect the wiring harness socket from the defective head lamp.
Remove the rubber boot, 3, from the back of the head lamp assembly.
Disengage the head lamp locking clip from the assembly and carefully
remove the bulb.
Install the replacement bulb into the head lamp assembly, making sure
the bulb locating tabs are aligned and not to touch the glass surface of the
bulb. If the glass is touched, use rubbing alcohol to clean the glass.
Installation is reverse of removal. Switch the head lamps “ON” to verify
illumination. Perform alignment of the head lamps as necessary.
