PRINTER OPTIONS

VERVIEW
There are four installable options for your Xpress T9412i or
T9412n printer:
•
The 550-sheet 2nd Cassette
•
The PostScript Compatibility Upgrade Kit with 8 MB
SIMM, (available for the T9412i model–already built into
the T9412n model)
•
The Network Interface Upgrade Kit for the PC (available
for the T9412i Model–already included with the T9412n)
•
The Network Interface Upgrade Kit for the Macintosh
includes a PostScript
®
SIMM (available for the T9412i
Model–already included with the T9412n)
•
Industry standard memory SIMMs (available at your
local computer retailer)
Use 72 pin standard EDO type DRAM SIMM with 60ns
or faster access time.
Except for the optional 550-sheet 2nd Cassette, you must
remove the printer’s Side Cover to install these options. This
simple procedure is described later in this chapter.

RECAUTIONS
Disconnecting the Power Cord
To avoid the possibility of electrical shock, disconnect all
cables when installing or removing any internal or external
printer option.
Discharging Static Electricity
The Controller Board and internal printer options are
sensitive to static electricity.
•
Before installing or removing an internal option,
discharge static electricity from your body by touching
something metal, such as the metal back plate on any
device plugged into a grounded power source.
•
If you walk around before finishing the installation,
discharge any static electricity again.
