To replace the front or rear brake light switches, first
disconnect the switch from the main wiring loom.
TL3000 Off Road - The switches are connected below
the ignition switch. (Chapter 5.6 for removal)
TL45 On Road - The switches are connected below
the speedometer.
When refitting, ensure the connecting arrow
markers are correctly aligned.
Loosen the grub screw underneath the switch
securing the brake light switch and adjuster to the
master cylinder.
When refitting, tighten to 3Nm

Unscrew the brake light switch adjuster from the
switch unit.
When refitting, install the switch followed by the
adjuster and tighten the adjuster until the brake light
switch is activated by the brake lever in the correct
position.
Caution; Do not tighten the adjust “until it
stops” as this will damage the switch.
Tighten the grub screw to lock the adjuster in position
The brake light switch can now be removed from the
assembly.
When refitting, the locating tang must be
fitted at the top of the switch unit.
