2. Remove the cover and, if necessary, the outer
bearings can now also be removed from the gear
shafts.
1. Remove the 8 bolts (M8 x 34mm) securing the
gearbox outer casing and remove.
When refitting, tighten to 25Nm and apply a
thin coat of a suitable sealant as the gasket material.
3. Ensure the sprocket retaining cir-clips have been
removed from the output shaft and withdraw the
output shaft from the casing.
4. If required, replace the output shaft oil seal. This
should be fitted flush with the bevel of the outer
casing.
To service or repair the gearbox assembly, first
remove the Motor and Gearbox assembly (Chapter
6.1).
