3. Remove the 2 bolts (M5 x 11mm) securing the
throttle control clamp to the handlebars.
When refitting, tighten to 7Nm
Note; take care not to lose or damage the
rubber stop fitted to the clamp.
4. Slide the assembly from the handlebars.
When refitting, apply a light coating of
suitable grease to the inside of the throttle
control to aid twisting on the handlebar. Take
care not to apply grease to the rubber stopper.
Refitting is the reverse of the removal procedure.
For testing, see Chapter 5.3 Motor Control Testing.
5.5 Throttle Control
5.6 Ignition Switch
Disconnect the ignition switch from the main wiring
harness and remove the switch.
For testing, check continuity between the switch
terminals. Continuity should be present when the
switch is in the “On” position.
Refit in the reverse of the removal procedure.
The ignition switch can be removed without
removing any additional components. Disconnect
the battery from the machine before proceeding.
Remove the 2 bolts (M5 x 10mm)securing the
ignition switch to the chassis.
When refitting, tighten to 5Nm
5.7 DC-DC Converter
The Talaria Sting L1e utilises a DC-DC converter
to provide a constant 12v supply for the ancillary
components on the vehicle. This is locate beneath the
battery storage, on the left of the Motor.
Remove the 2 front bolts (M6 x 10mm)
2 front bolts (M6 x 10mm) and
2 rear
bolts + nuts (M6 x 20mm)
securing the belly-pan
and remove.
When refitting, tighten these bolts to 7Nm
