If the circuit breaker is suspected to be faulty, remove
the unit from the machine. Remove the 2 nuts and
bolts (M3 x 35mm) securing the circuit breaker to
the machine.
When refitting, tighten to 5Nm
5.4 Battery and Circuit Breaker
If issue is suspected the battery voltage can be
checked manually. This is best performed using the
ignition switch connector located in front of the
circuit breaker. The loom connector block is housed
in the protective shroud directly underneath the
ignition switch.
With the battery correctly fitted, disconnect the
ignition switch from the terminal.
Locate the loom terminal in the same location that
connects directly to the battery (Do not disconnect
this terminal at this point.
Test between the Black wire on the battery connector
(Becomes dark Blue on the loom side of the
connector) and the Red wire on the Ignition switch
loom connector.
A full battery will provide a reading around 66v
2. TL45 - Disconnect the throttle control from the
main wiring harness.
When refitting, ensure the fitting marker
arrows are correctly aligned.
TL3000 - Disconnect the throttle control and start
button from the main wiring harness.
To remove the throttle control, it is necessary to
remove the offside mirror. For the TL3000, it is also
necessary to remove the Ignition Switch (Chapter
5.6)
1. Unscrew the securing bolt for the mirror.
Note; this is a compression fit system and
when refitting, tighten sufficiently to prevent
the mirror rotating on the handlebars.
